A Bit About Robert

My name is Robert and I’m 30 years old. I was born and raised at the Jersey shore (and no, it’s nothing like what you see on MTV!). I received my Associates Degree in technology and have been an IT/Network administrator in a local public school district for the past 12 years. As technology is always changing, I am constantly taking courses for various new certifications in my field.
I cannot wait to be a dad! I constantly find myself thinking about everything I’m looking forward to in terms of raising a child; from Saturday cartoons to family vacations to Disney World.

My Love for Cars
As you can probably see from several of the pictures on this page, I am a serious car nut. If it’s got a motor, I’m into it (and if it doesn’t, I’ll just build one for it). My father and I have a pretty extensive collection of classic cars and hot rods. It’s ever evolving, as part of the fun of having these awesome machines is buying and selling them! Growing up, my Grandfather worked for Ford Motor Company and he fascinated me with his incredible knowledge about anything and everything related to cars. My father and I take great pride in showing off our cars at local car shows when the weathers nice.

My Hobbies
I am also a self-proclaimed foodie. I LOVE cooking, coming up with new recipes, and seeing people enjoy my food. I am by no means a professional, but I’ve certainly had some “home-runs” when it comes to kids dishes (like candy-cane pancakes at Christmas and Captain Crunch chicken fingers!). The messier the process, the more delicious the outcome. I look forward to teaching our child how to cook and come up with his or her own recipes.
Melissa and I are huge fans of Walt Disney World. Growing up, my parents took my sister and I to Universal Studios, Walt Disney World, or Sea World every few years. Those trips are some of my best memories and I cannot wait to create those same memories with my own child. Since graduating high school, Melissa and I have made it a point to visit Disney World each year for vacation. We both love strolling the parks and acting like kids again. We definitely want to continue this vacation tradition with our children. I'm excited to see our child's face when he or she meets Mickey for the first time! |
